About
Emily Griffith Technical College, located in Denver, Colorado, was founded in 1916 through the efforts of Colorado educator Emily Griffith who had dreamed of opening a school that provided educational opportunities for individuals of all ages. The school maintains a location in downtown Denver, granted in 1916 by the Denver Board of Education to begin this new type of school. Today the school offers over 40 certificate programs and maintains and has served over 1.5 million students since its founding.
Academics
Emily Griffith Technical College utilizes nine areas of study to divide its programs; Apprenticeships Training Division, College of Business and Technology, Corporate Training Division, College of Health Sciences, College of Trades and Industry, College of Design Industries, Extended Learning Division, Language Learning Center, and Emily Griffith High School. Individuals studying through one of these divisions will receive a short term education, typically lasting less than two years, that provides the skills and abilities necessary to enter the workforce as a qualified professionals.
